There are different types of regular and irregular two dimensional shapes like a circle, triangle, square, rectangle, pentagon, and hexagon. It shows a list of 2d shapes.Ģ-D shapes are flat and can be drawn on a sheet of paper. Observe the following figure which shows the difference between regular and irregular two dimensional shapes. A two dimensional shape (2D shape) is irregular if all the sides are of unequal length and all its angles are of unequal measures.A 2 dimensional shape (2D shape) is said to be regular if all its sides are equal in length and all its interior angles measure the same.Types of 2D Shapes - Regular and Irregular 2D ShapesĪ 2D shape can be classified as regular or irregular based on the length and the interior angles: The figure given below shows a list of 2D shapes that we commonly come across. 2D shapes with at least three straight sides are called polygons and these include triangles, squares, and quadrilaterals. All the 2 dimensional shapes have sides, vertices (corners), and interior angles, except for the circle, which is a curved figure. ![]() A circle, square, rectangle, and triangle are some examples of two-dimensional shapes and these shapes can be drawn on paper. 2D Shapes DefinitionĪ polygon is a 2 dimensional shape made up of straight line segments which are connected with each other, thus giving it a closed shape. Some common 3D shapes are cuboids, cones, pyramids, and cylinders. ![]() For example, a dice is three-dimensional because it consists of a length, a width, and a height. In comparison to these, a 3D (three-dimensional) shape has three dimensions - length, width, and height. They do not have any thickness and can be measured only by the two dimensions. I'm totally hopeless when it comes to play with shape in excel T.In geometry, 2D shapes (2 dimensional shapes) can be defined as plane figures that are completely flat and have only two dimensions - length and width. Sorry for my long explaination, hope I can give u guys some idea to work this case out. So basically it's the idea to have the same name for easily controlling all shapes (I don't want to name them like Rectangles_1, Rectangles_2.Rectangles_n, coz user can accidentally delete one shape and re-create, then the name will not be from 1-> n and will cause crash for the color changing code if you loop it from shapes 1 => n) Items on the layout: pink rectangles automatically changes to red one If they change the format of 1 each item belong to 1 group, the other must be automatically changed too: like for Type_A: from pink rectangle => red rectangles, then:Ģng group becomes: 2 red rectangles, 2 blue rectangles, 6 green rectangles I want to let them freely choose to re-format the line color of each type of product as they want, so my idea is to have each type of product get the same name: pink rectangles (Type_A) blue rectangles (Type_B) green rectangles (Type_C). So assume after they'r choosing, the 1st and 2nd group is:Ģnd group: 2 pink rectangels, 2 blue rectangles, 6 green rectanglesĪfter this step, I'll have 1 more step that to arrange them into the layout, so more shapes will be created (Above shapes will not be moved, they'r for displaying's purpose in master data) Then user can either choose to create a Group consists of: Type C - Green Rectangle - Q'ty 10 => 10 Green Triangles (line color only, fill color = white) Type B - Blue Rectangle - Q'ty 24 => 24 Blue Rectangles (line color only, fill color = white) ![]() ![]() Type A - Pink Rectangle - Q'ty 30 => 30 Pink Rectangles (line color only, fill color = white) I don't know if it is a bad idea or not, cause I'm trying to make a layout with excel, something likes this: Oh well I can name them the same tho (try create new shapes, open Selection Pane, then you can freely change their name to the same without restriction).
